Opposition leader in National Assembly Khurshid Shah on Thursday said a regular chief election commissioner (CEC) will conduct local bodies (LB) polls.
He said this while talking to reporters outside the Parliament House. He said the government and opposition had agreed on the formation of a parliamentary committee to address flaws in the 18th Amendment.
He said the committee would review the law and amend the article which was omitted for some reasons.
“We support extension in provinces quota in federal jobs for further 20 years,” he observed.
