Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday gave additional charge of the Defence Ministry to Khawaja Asif.
In addition, the prime minister has also given additional charge of the Law Ministry to Pervaiz Rashid, minister for information and broadcasting.
An official announcement said the PM gave additional charge of the Defence Ministry to Water and Power Minister Khawaja Asif; and additional charge of the Law Ministry to Information Minister Pervaiz Rasheed.
Previously these additional portfolios were with the prime minister himself.
The decision came after the Supreme Court on Tuesday ordered the defence minister to appear before the court in the missing persons’ case.
