The Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) officials on Tuesday seized 3,000 litres of petroleum in open sea near Gwadar.
A statement said that the PCGSea patrolling party has seized a speed boat carrying about 3,000 litrs of illegal petroleum at Jiwani.
It is reported that the petroleum was being smuggled from Iran and was to be transported to Karachi.
The PCG team intercepted the private boat in the open sea when it was approaching the coast.
Petroleum along with boat has been taken into custody for further processing.
Further investigation is under process by the PCG “Special Investigation Team”.
