A labourer was killed and five others were injured on Monday when a kiln in a local steel moulding factory exploded. According to details, the kiln blew up in Taj Steel Mill located at Peco Road owing to gas accumulation. As a result of the explosion, a labourer, identified as Sabir, was killed while five others sustained minor injuries. The injured including Baba Mehr, Akhtar, Asif, Tariq and Niaz were shifted to Mayo Hospital where according to hospital sources condition of Baba Mehr was serious.
