Induction of CJCSC, COAS according to constitution: Rashid

Federal Information Minister Pervez Rashid has said that new chairman joint chiefs of staff committee (CJCSC) and chief of army staff (COAS) will be appointed in accordance with the constitution.
Talking to reporters at the Parliament House on Tuesday, Rashid said that the policy of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has many drawbacks which were not in favour of the party and its government in KP as well.
He said the PTI by handing over the writ of the state in hands of party activists to check the NATO container has adopted illegal practice. It will hurt the credibility of country and also affect the government writ across the country, he added.
The minister said that only custom officials have power to check the goods and other trade items in trucks and containers. When the authority was handed over to the common man it will encourage the extortionists, he added.
He said that Pak-Afghan Transit Trade is international agreement which will be ensured at all costs.
Rashid blamed that Imran Khan was trying to establish a separate state in his party led province while his party workers were quarrelling over receiving extortion.
He said that supremacy and stability of the state is equal responsibility of all elected representatives who came to power through public mandate.
The minister said that war like situation and anarchy in the country during the past regimes resulted in massive damages to country besides stopping development and progress process.
To a question, he said that any issue relating to extension in tenure of Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry will be decided keeping in view the constitution.
Commenting over the US-Iran nuclear deal, he said that it will have positive aspects for Pakistan.
