The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has requested the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa inspector general of police to nominate the US and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in the Hangu drone strike FIR.

PTI’s Central Legal Secretary Barrister Suleman Afridi submitted the written request to KP IG Nasir Khan Durrani that cited the statement of Interior Minister Nisar ALI Khan, a news story regarding the US drone strike in the Washington Post and decisions of the Peshawar High Court.

Durrani has order the investigation officers to conduct an inquiry.

Earlier an FIR of the Hangu drone strike, which killed six people including a Taliban commander, was filed against unidentified men in Hangu on November 22. This is the first FIR of its kind in Pakistan.
