Police killed two alleged members of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Taliban (TTP) in an encounter, said police officials on Sunday.
According to police officials, Abdullah alias Mukhtar and Hamid alias Pehalwan escaped from the Mochco Police Station on Saturday and to capture them the police cordoned off the surrounding areas and launched a search operation to re-arrest the culprits. The accused opened fire at the police party when it entered the Raees Goth area. Police returned the fire due to which both of them died.
The accused were arrested by Rangers a few days ago and were handed over to police. During investigation, the accused had admitted killing of 25 people including 16 police officials.
The police also claimed that the accused were affiliated with prohibited TTP.
