Police on Sunday arrested the owner of one of the motorbikes used in the Ancholi blasts while raids for the arrest of the owner of other bike are in progress.
According to police sources, both motorcycles hail from a single company with no complaint lodged against their snatching or stealing. Meantime, the clues were gathered from the blast site.
According to bomb disposal squad, there was a distance of 100 yards between the positions of the two motorbikes used by the saboteurs. There were four kilograms of explosives with ball-bearings rigged to each bike.
According to SSP Central Amir Farooqi, a case against the double blasts has been registered at Samanabad Police Station under the clauses of Anti-Terrorism Act with government as complainant.
The funeral prayer of Salik Jaffery, a victim of Ancholi tragedy, was held at Rizvia Imambargah and of Rizwanul Haq at the Muhammedi Masjid located in Ancholi.
