The Karachi Transport Action Committee (KTAC) has taken strong exception against the long duration of CNG supply closure in the city.
Association’s president Mohammad Ashraf Banglori in a statement on Sunday said that more than 70% of the public transport vehicles plying in city are run on CNG.
“In the given situation, frequent and long phase of its disrupted supply is a cause of massive loss to the transporters and serious inconvenience for the commuters,” said Ashraf.
Banglori said that the absence of adequate policy has also added to the misery of motorists and commuters as long queues on roads, after every reopening of the CNG station, lead to frequent traffic jams with every chance to cause a law and order situation.
