Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) former interior minister and senior leader Rehman Malik on Saturday said that the enemies of Pakistan and Islam are hatching conspiracies to destabilise the country.
Talking to media persons at Quaid-e-Azam International Airport, Rehman Malik said that Karachi being the industrial hub and base of country’s economy is target of the anti-state elements.
He said that various anti-Pakistan forces and intelligence agencies were engaged in nefarious activities to sabotage the peace and stability of the country.
Malik said, “We would have to resolve our internal problems to restore the lost dignity of the country and to project its soft image abroad.”
He said that curfew, suspending of mobile phone services and such other steps though were not permanent solution for dealing with the menace of terrorism but help to lessen the threats.
