Protests against Rawalpindi incident on 22nd

Following the intelligence agencies; reports, the federal government has decided to keep the security on high alter in the country to avert any untoward incident during the protests to be held on Friday (today) against the Rawalpindi riots.
According to details, the prime minister has ordered to put the army on stand-by in sensitive districts and to take strict action against the elements found involved in fanning sectarianism.
Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Kayani has also assured the PM to provide all assistance to the government to keep the situation in control.
On the other side, Jamaat Ahle Sunnat has announced to stage protests in twin cities (Rawalpindi/Islamabad). Protests will be held on six major spots of the cities after the Friday prayers. The spots are Committee Chowk, Aabpara, 22 No Chungi, Chuhar Chowk, Dhok Hassu, Dhok Hafiz Chowk, Airport Road and Tarnol.
Several clerics will address the demonstrations and condemnation resolutions will be also approved in gatherings.
The decision has been taken in a meeting in Hanfia Mosque of Purana Qila.
Clerics have appealed to the government to give strict punishments to people involved in the Rawalpindi incident, while requesting people to keep peace during demonstrations.
The government has also said that mobile service could also be suspended on Friday due to security concerns.
Separately, the district administration has imposed a ban on all kinds of gatherings, demonstrations and rallies.
On Thursday, a meeting was held under the chief commissioner where the administration discussed to deploy extra army and rangers personnel in sensitive areas instead of imposing the curfew in city.
In the meeting, it was also decided to seal the Red Zone of federal capital.
Use of loudspeakers has been also made restricted.
Services of rangers have been also hired to keep the situation in control and security of seminaries and Imambargahs has been heightened. An additional force of rangers has been deployed in Faizabad.

  3. Save Pakistan from extremism, racism and sectarianism. Blame game would not change anything. Change in behaviour of the entire nation is needed otherwise this country would not survive_

    • these are not shia or sunni who are responsible but these are other people who have no religion they are just cruel foxes under the cover of man and just want to destroy the peace of our country it is the time to think neutral and to find the real reasons behind it not to fan the sectarism
