Attorney General (AG) Munir A Malik has said that there is solid evidence for the prosecution of Pervez Musharraf under article 6 of the constitution.
He held that FIA will obtain the powers to arrest Pervez Musharraf as soon as government registers a complaint for trial of former president under article 6.
It may be mentioned that the government has constituted a 3-member special court to hear the high treason case against Pervez Musharraf. Justice Faisal Arab of Sindh High Court will head the court with Justice Yawar Ali and Justice Syeda Tahira Safdar of Lahore High Court and Balochistan High Court as its members.
SC had sent 5 names of judges along with their profiles to the government for initiation of proceedings against Pervez Musharraf under article 6 of the constitution.
