project has been approved to set up an SME club at a cost of Rs 100 million for the promotion of industrial sector and small and medium enterprises (SMEs).
SMEDA E-Business head Salman Khalid said on Sunday that over 10,000 SMEs will benefit from the club. He said the project would help SMEs to get information and share knowledge about business ventures inside the country and in international markets.
The club will also enable them to get research based reports on different topics of their interest, adding that SMEDA will also provide information through SMS alerts to the SMEs.
The club will be formed by the end of January next year will have facilities and discounts on software development, courier services and other value added services, he said.
He further stated that SMEDA was working to enable SMEs to face global challenges by adopting most modern techniques.
The club will also make arrangements for international fairs and exhibitions, he concluded.
