Pakistan earned a huge honor as Taimur Hassan,Vice President of Pakistan Golf Federation was elected as the Secretary General of Asia Pacific Golf Confederation in the election held,yesterday in the city of Changrai in Thailand.A total of 38 countries took part in the election and Taimur Hassan’s success brings good tidings for golf in Pakistan and in the Asia Pacific region.
Taimur Hassan will be responsible for golf development and promotion in the Asia Pacific and he will hold this portfolio for a period of two years.Speaking on the phone,Taimur Hassan said that “this is actually an honor for the country that I represent and will endeavour to bring international golf to Pakistan”.David Cherry of Australia was elected as the President of Asia Pacific Golf Confederation.
