Pakistan will benefit from the ‘The Future of Fund’ to improve education, especially for girls, involving innovative ideas This was said by Federal State Education, Training and Standards in Higher Education Minister Engineer Balighur Rehman on Tuesday. The 2013 WISE Summit held in Doha from October 29-31 launched the fund to provide financial assistance, as well as expertise and training, to stakeholders help them translate their ideas into action. Rehman who attended the summit said he would focus on reinventing education for life, which was the theme of the summit, so that education be transformed into a meaningful activity. He said he had met several delegates, including educationists, policymakers, learners, teachers and donors, at the summit. The delegates of the Islamic Development Bank, he said, also agreed to fund the education sector of Pakistan. ‘The Future of Education Fund’ was launched on Thursday by Sheikh Abdulla bin Ali Al-Thani, Chairman of WISE, following three days of sharing, debating and networking. More than 10 delegates and 30 students, called WISE learners, represented Pakistan at the summit.
