KP govt launches first-ever online budget system

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Government on Tuesday recorded their significant development in modernising the governance system by launching first-ever online budget system in history of Pakistan.
The KP Finance Department launched online budget system under supervision of Finance Minister Sirajul Haq while province’s Information Minister Shahram Khan Tarakai and other senior officials were also present during the inauguration event.
The new online system would unveil development budget via website and prominent move in stepping towards E-governance system which will make financial decisions transparent.
While addressing at the inauguration event, the minister said that national treasury was a public integrity while the government present itself before the public court via newly launched online budget system.
Haq vowed that corruption would be eliminated as well as the improvement seen in the performance of government departments.
Moreover, he also announced establishment of online complaint system by the finance department in near future in order to reach public problems and suggestions.
Regardless of mentioning about the KP government’s performance on constituting local bodies act in the province, top political leadership has taken visible steps for replacing the ancient governance system with modern schemes beside deteriorated law and order situation due to large-scale terrorism bids.
