The Islamabad High Court on Tuesday issued notice to the interior secretary to transfer Abdul Rashid Gazi murder case from trial court to the high court.
A single-member bench of the IHC, comprising Justice Noor-Ul-Haq N Qureshi issued the notice and sought reply within two weeks.
During the course of hearing, Tariq Asad counsel for petitioner argued that the trial of former president should be processed in the high court due to the importance of the matter.
The judge after hearing the arguments issued notices and adjourned the matter for next two weeks.
