Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Monday forecasted rains and snowfall over the hills at different places of the country from today (Tuesday) to Thursday.
PMD spokesman informed that a westerly wave is likely to enter into Balochistan on Monday night and would grip the upper parts of the country.
Under the influence of this weather system scattered rain is expected in Islamabad, upper Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan and northeast Balochistan on Tuesday. Isolated rainfall is also expected in South Punjab including Multan, DG Khan, Bahawalpur and Sahiwal divisions, he added.
Whereas isolated snowfall over the hills in Galyaat, Malakand, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan is also expected on Wednesday and Thursday.
The farmers in the rice growing areas are also advised to take precautionary measures according to the day to day weather conditions.
