The Lahore High Court (LHC) has disallowed the Election Tribunal (EC) from hearing the petition filed by Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan against the National Assembly (NA) speaker, Sardar Ayyaz Sadiq.

LHC has also sought a reply regarding this case from PTI chairman Imran Khan and the EC on November 15.

As per media reports, PTI chairman Imran Khan had filed petition seeking disqualification of NA speaker Ayyaz Sadiq who was elected as member National Assembly from NA-122 Lahore. The petition was to be heard on Monday but the LHC restrained EC from hearing it due to the objection raised by Sardar Ayyaz Sadiq.

NA speaker posited that the documents filed by Imran Khan are not verified, adding that the EC cannot hear the case if the documents are indeed unverified.

  1. This is very courageous and bold decision by Lahore High Court. This is very positive and sensible decision as everyone stands up for challenging election results in Pakistan for 2013.Really there may be many chances of Rigging in KPK.but no sober and responsible political party tried to challenge.PTI must learn severe lessons over this decision and put its full energy and resources to solve the basic problems of a common citizen of Pakistan ratherthaan playing negative and aggressive games in the field of political activities in Pakistan.

    • After 65 years of independence, Pakistan is still crawling and struggling to survive because of the headless chickens like you..

  2. This is how Nawaz Sharif operates. This LHC Judge should be served notice by NAB and then he should be summarily dismissed. Nawaz Sharif's pet immediately waged his tail and posted comment.
