The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan’s (TTP) leaders have chosen Khalid Saeed Sajna as its new chief, intelligence officials and militant commanders said on Saturday.
The officials and five Taliban commanders interviewed by phone said that two candidates, TTP Swat
Valley chief Mullah Fazlullah and South Waziristan’s Khan Saeed, known as Sajna, were strong nominees for the vacant post. However, majority of Taliban elders put their weight in favour of Khan Saeed.
The decision was made in an urgent meeting held at an undisclosed location, a day after Hakimullah Mehsud was killed in a US drone strike in North Waziristan.
According to media reports, drones were flying over the region after the attack and in two towns the slain chief’s supporters were firing at the drones in anger.

  2. Malik mandate for KBD already existed in 1991 Water Accord. However the Water Accord awaits it implementation as now water shortages are being shared instead of future storages of water.
