Former AJK prime minister and front-line leader of AJK’s incumbent Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry on Thursday advised the AJK government to immediately move for the recovery of the plundered Rs 5 billion within next 10 days belonging to the people of Mirpur in the wake of the region’s largest scam in the name of online advertisement business ‘Click’.

Addressing a news conference at Kashmir Press Club (KPC), Sultan Mahmood named the scam as “Double Mujawer – rather Triple Mujawer Scandal” in a view of the exceptionally attractive 300 percent profit of the business which swept the money of over Rs 5 billion belonging to the local population who launched it in the scam.

Describing AJK Prime Minister Ch Abdul Majeed as the principal accused, Barrister Sultan accused him of patronising the scandal. He pointed out that despite the AJK Supreme Court and the AJK High Court had declared the online advertisement business Click unlawful, the prime minister ordered the Director Industries Department (DID) AJK  to register the fake entrepreneur M/s Naxes Services (Pvt) Ltd.

Barrister Sultan appealed the apex court of AJK to take suo moto notice and order the initiation of the contempt of court proceeding against Majeed for “disobeying the orders of the superior judiciary declaring the aforesaid online business unlawful and illegal.”
