Eyeing to win back its hallmark of ‘city of lights’ status, Karachi is still grappling with a deteriorating law and order situation, as five more people lost lives in firing incidents during the last 24 hours.

Despite the ongoing targeted operations by law-enforcement agencies in the city, some unidentified miscreants opened gunfire in Orangi Town-11.5, where two people were killed.

Bodies of the two deceased were brought to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. One of them was identified as Shahid, 30 and the other as Aijaz, 45.

Meantime, a gunfire incident by unknown terrorists in Quaidabad left a 25-year old man named Allahdad dead.

Qasba Colony also witnessed violence where a man was gunned down.
