A dacoit was killed while four others, including a lady, were held in custody after encounter in the jurisdiction of the Feerozabad Police Station on Tuesday.
According to Police, a gang of five bandits stormed into the house of a car dealer and started picking up their valuables, when someone from inside the home called the police.
The police rushed to the scene and after a brief encounter, the ring leader was killed while the four culprits, including a lady, were arrested on the spot.
SHO Aurengzeb told the media the gang had also been to jail in the past.
The female dacoit, identified as Shahnaz, said she had four children, and was doing this job due to financial constraints.
