An accountability court in Islamabad on Tuesday reissued notices to former president Asif Ali Zardari and the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) regarding corruption references.
Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir conducted the hearing of references against Zardari. Farooq H Naik submitted his power of attorney given to him by the former president, with the stance that his client could not appear in the court due to foreign country tours.
He also sought more time for the preparation of the case.
The court warned that if Zardari did not appear in the court on the next hearing, the argumentation was likely to begin on the next hearing.
Additional Prosecutor General Muhammad Akbar and Naik agreed to put off next hearing until November 26.
