Mysterious surrounded burning of Peshawar Commissioner Sahibzada Aneesur Rehman and 29-year-old woman Asghar Nisar in a room of Park Towers Islamabad.
Initial investigation reports said both people knew each other and Rehman met her when he was the political agent of Kurram Agency, sources said on Monday.
Both people submitted their national identity cards at the building’s reception, which were later taken into custody by the police officials, sources added.
Surprisingly, the things became more mysterious when the initial statements of both people were found contrary to each other.
The injured woman said the purpose of meeting was attesting of some documents by the commissioner, whereas the commissioner declined any connection with the woman.
The commission is currently under treatment in a private hospital after being shifted from Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) hospital Islamabad while the woman is still under treatment in PIMS.
