Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Ameer Syed Munawar Hasan on Sunday said that his party would strongly resist the privatisation of state institutions as it would open new avenues of corruption.
Addressing the general council meeting of the National Labour Federation (NLF) at Mansoora he said that the nation had already faced the dire consequences of privatisation.
Dolling out major state institutions would result in massive unemployment and JI would convene an APC in November to take other parties in confidence on the issue and mobilise public opinion against privatization, he added.
The JI Ameer said the PML-N leadership has forgotten their promises after coming to power and has levied new and heavy taxes on the masses on the IMF dictation.
Commenting on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister’s statement on threatening to stop NATO supplies if drone attacks did not end, Syed Munawar Hasan said such a statement should come from the federal government which had the authority to stop the supplies.

  1. Is there no corruption in the government departments> Why JI is closing their eyes on the common and regular Corruption in almost all the government departments and in that way JI is not serving the nation properly. There are rear cases of corruption in the privates enterprises and why JI is promoting corruption in stead of eliminating in all government departments. Case are hanging for years, if you pay something then the problem is solved immediately, otherwise you to have trips of these offices for nothing. Nearly most of the government departments must be privatized at once.JI must attend to publish and do for Islamic functions only and do not put its nose in serious matters.Let us he tells that Penstion is Halal or Harram where as after serving services in government jobs, did they not were awarded and why they earn when they have no work.
