Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Javed Hashmi on Sunday said the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) led federal government was following the footsteps of the former Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) government and there was no difference in the polices of both.
Talking to reporters, Hashmi said anti-masses policies of the sitting government and poor performance were defaming it and the government did not need external conspiracy or resolution to trouble it.
He said the PPP had no interest in resolving the problems faced by the common man.
The PTI leader said anti-Pakistan forces who did not want peace and stability in the country were hatching conspiracies so that peace dialogue did not take place.
Hashmi claimed some foreign powers were also funding certain factions of the Taliban to destabilise the country.
He said by delaying initiation of dialogue with the Taliban, the government was pushing the country into more crises.
He said during the all parties conference (APC), all stakeholders mandated the government to hold peace talks with the Taliban and there should not be any further delay in this regard.
The PTI leader said the tribal people also worked in favour of the country until the directives of a military dictator intensified and gave birth to new crises regarding law and order. He claimed that peace could be restored if military operation in tribal areas was stopped and tribesmen were brought into mainstream by providing them basic rights.
