Action against the corrupt police officials of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) continues as 26 more policemen of Kohat and Hazara region were suspended on Sunday.
According to details, action against police officials involved in corrupt practices, slackness towards duty and poor performance had been accelerated on the directives of KP Inspector General of Police (IGP) Nasir Durrani.
In its second phase, 26 more police officials including six inspectors, 12 sub-inspectors and five assistant sub-inspectors, hailing from various districts, were suspended.
So far 117 police officials hailing from Peshawar, Mardan, Dera Ismail Khan, Kohat and Hazara divisions have been suspended.
Investigation against the suspended police personnel is underway and will be terminated if found guilty.
