Shooting occurred between Iranian border guards and terrorists in the direction of Saravan city located in the south-east of the Iranian province of Sistan and Baluchistan on Friday night. As many as 14 Iranian guards were killed at shooting range, Iranian news agency, IRNA reported with the reference to a source who wished to remain anonymous.

The last major terrorist attack, responsibility for which was taken by the outfit, was an explosion in southeastern Iran in October 2009, killing nearly 50 people.
The leader of Jundullah, Abdul Malek Rigi, was executed in Iran in June 2010.
