Two police personnel lost their lives after their mobile van came under sudden gun-assault in the metropolis’ SITE Area. One of the attackers was killed during the instant retaliation by the police forces.
According to details, at least four miscreants riding two motorbikes launched a surprise gun-attack and sprayed bullets at a police mobile van hailing from the SITE Area police station, killing Constable Qazi and Constable Javed on the spot and injuring three others.
The prompt action by police killed an assailant, who was later identified as Adnan.
Additional Inspector General Karachi, Shahid Hayat said the criminal killed in the overnight action was wanted in the killings of police personnel, informing that two suspected persons have been captured from the incident site.
A motorcycle has also been seized.
