Partial strike observed in Balochistan against ANP leader’s abduction

A shutter-down and wheel jam strike was observed in the provincial capital and parts of western Balochistan against the abduction of Awami National Party’s (ANP) former Balochistan president Arbab Abdul Zahir Kasi here on Thursday.

The strike was observed on call of the ANP during which main markets and shopping malls remained partially closed.

Meanwhile, ANP workers took out a protest rally, which commenced from and culminated at the residence of the kidnapped leader after passing through various roads of the city.

The protesters were chanting slogans against the incident and demanded his safe recovery.

A shutter down was also observed in Pishin, Killa Saifullah, Loralai and other parts of the province.

The provincial government had made strict security arrangements to avoid any untoward situation.
