Two more MQM victories challenged

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday challenged the victory of two parliamentarians of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) in the election tribunal.

PTI member Saeed Afridi challenged the victory of MQM Member National Assembly (MNA) Iqbal Qadri who was declared winner from NA-241 constituency in OrangiTown. Meanwhile, results of Sindh constituency PS-117 from where MQM’s Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Dr Sagheer Ahmed was victorious has also been challenged by PTI’s Ahsan Jabbar.

So far, election result of 29 seats has been challenged in Sindh, including those won by Pakistan Peoples Party’s Sharjeel Inaam Memon and Agha Siraj Durrani, MQM’s Dr Farooq Sattar, Sajid Ahmed, Iqbal Muhammad Ali and Abdul Rashid Godil and Pakistan Muslim League’s (PML-N) Hakim Baloch and Irfan Ullah Marwat.

Sharjeel Inaam Memon’s victory from PS-50 was also challenged in election tribunal by Pakistan Muslim League Functional’s (PML-F) Haji Khwand Ghulam.
