The rotary clubs in Pakistan, in partnership with UNICEF, will distribute 5,000 copies of a 16-page ‘speaking book’ about the importance of polio vaccination on the World Polio Day.
The audio version of the text will be available in Urdu and Pashto languages to benefit the health workers and parents of young children from October 26.
The book distribution is part of an array of activities organised by rotary clubs to build public support to wipe out this disabling viral disease once and for all.
Rotary in collaboration with the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will also live stream a fund raising campaign, World Polio Day: Making History, from NorthwesternUniversity to take on board global online audience.
