Levies soldier killed in Turbat attack on Arab prince

Unidentified terrorists carried out an attack on the convoy of an Arab prince in Turbat district of Balochistan province on Tuesday, killing a Levies official.

The Arab prince was on a hunting trip to the area.

The incident took place in Buleda area of Turbat where the prince was hunting along with his convoy under the security cover from Levies, officials said.

Officials did not mention the nationality of the Arab prince.

Earlier in February this year, a Qatari prince was attacked in Pattok area of Kech district of Balochistan.

According to the reports, one vehicle caught fire in the attack, while the assailants also made away with some of the weapons of Levies and the prince’s guards.

The prince remained unhurt in the attack.

Balochistan, the resource-rich and largest province by area, suffers from an upsurge in sectarian violence and attacks by separatist militants who target civilians and security forces with impunity.
