Black water, other agencies picking up young boys to use them in terrorism, SC told

Justice Saqib Nisar has remarked that ‘no one should remain under any delusion, we will bring the missing persons case to a logical end.”

He gave these remarks while presiding over a 2-member bench of Supreme Court (SC) during the course of the hearing of the missing persons case regarding the disappearance of Zahir Muzaffar and Hafiz Jamil here Tuesday.

He further observed that the “ missing persons cases are not being disposed of. The Ministry of Defence and Interior should present their report reflecting a clear stance before the court. These are the matters of basic importance and these can not be disregarded in any way. Intelligence agencies are entitled to initiate proceedings as per law and constitution.

Additional Attorney General (AAG) Tariq Khokhar told the court while presenting the report that “ Hafiz Muhammad Jamil has been traced out but it is not known which detention center he is kept in.”

The court directed the AAG to provide information about his location within two weeks. If Mr. Khokhar fails to give a reply then the Defence Secretary and Interior Secretary will be summoned.

Rejecting the plea for disposing off the Zahir Muzaffar case the court remarked investigations will continue until the recovery of Zahir Muzaffar.

Amna Masud Janjua, chairperson Defence Human Rights made a disclosure in the court that foreign intelligence agencies are also behind the disappearances along with local intelligence agencies. “Black water and other agencies are also picking up the boys with ages ranging between 14 to 18 years and they are being used in terrorism. These boys are brain washed. If our intelligence agencies are doing any work in this regard then they can evolve their strategy to deal with this situation. If the foreign agencies are not involved even then our intelligence agencies can explain the situation. ”

The court remarked “ we are not putting an to end the investigations. We will not rest until the missing persons are recovered.”

Police also presented reports during the hearing of the case. The court directed them to submit comprehensive reports with reference to the missing persons.

The court adjourned the hearing of the case for two weeks.
