Political Agent of the South Waziristan Islam Zeb has given three days notice to Ahmadzai Wazir tribe to hand over the accused involved in attack on security forces convoy on Friday.
Addressing a 120 member tribal jirga of nine Ahmadzai Wazir tribes here on Saturday, the political agent said certain elements were out to destroy peace in Wana and it was duty of the tribes to foil this conspiracy and handover the accused to the authorities.
He said the attack on the security convoy wherein one member of the force was killed had been condemned across the country. He said brave men of the security forces had been giving sacrifices of their lives to ensure peace and it was unfortunate that these very sons of the soil were being made targets of blasts.
He asked the tribesmen to identify those involved in the heinous crime and hand them over to the authorities so as to stop them from indulging in anti-state activities.
