  1. Mandi Bahauddin: Lawyers of Mandi Bahauddin celebrated grant of bail; to former president Pakistan General (Retired) PervaIz Mushharraf at District Bar Room. Sweets were distributed among lawyers and litigants present in the courts premises. Speaking on the occasion President Independent Lawyers Group Syed Munawwar Abid Advocate said truth could not be hidden for long time. The same things had happened with regard to false cases made against Gen Musharraf for political victimization and deny him participation in last general election. He said all criminal cases pending in different courts were false and concocted just to defame the former president. In Lal Masjid case religious clerics Aziz and Gazi Rasheed had challenged writ of the state. They were fully armed with modern weapons and had started killing and kidnapping people. Police and judiciary were helpless to initiate any proceeding against them. These clerics used female students as shield against law enforcing agencies when they went for action. Similarly in Akbar Bhugti case Gen Musharraf could not be blamed for any role. He said according to media reports Bhugti was rebel who was operating from a tunnel where he died of his own act. Munawwar Advocate went further and said alleged involvement of the retired general in judges detention case was also based on mala fides to take personal revenge. He said the criminal cases were based on false facts therefore he opined that Musharraf would be acquitted honorably after trial. He appreciated the order of the superior judiciary for granting bail after through consideration of facts of the case. Talking about opinion of the general public he said now the people were fed up with the present rulers for their cruel and anti-people policies and they now badly miss the former president Gen Musharraf for his promoting public welfare and development policies.
