Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs and National Security Sartaj Aziz has said talks with the Taliban are in a sensitive phase.
Talking to reporters on Friday, Aziz said further details regarding the talks with the Taliban would be unveiled at an appropriate time.
He informed that the anti-terrorism strategy would be presented before the cabinet in the next few days.
Aziz said Afghan Taliban leader Mullah Baradar had been released and his family was in contact with him.
“Mullah Baradar’s release was aimed at him contacting the Afghan Taliban to figure out what his role would be in the reconciliation process.”
