A meeting of a judicial commission regarding the appointment of additional judges will be chaired by the Chief Justice (CJ) Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry in Supreme Court (SC) on Friday.
Appointment of 7 additional judges in Lahore High Court (LHC) is expected to be discussed in the meeting, while the names of 5 lawyers and 2 session judges will be considered for appointment in the LHC.
The names of the lawyers are Mohammad Ahmed Bhatti, Masood Jahangir, Sadaqat Ali Khan, Shahid Nadeem Kahlon and Sohail Iqbal Bhatti, while the names of the session judges are Arshad Malik Tabassum and Tariq Abbasi.
CJ Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry and other members of the SC will participate in the meeting.
