At least three men accused of kidnapping were killed and an abducted person was rescued after exchange of fire between the criminals and the police on Wednesday.
According to details, the police launched a crackdown in the Ashrafabad area of Mardan to rescue an abducted person.
During the operation an exchange of fire between the kidnappers and the police took place.
All the three kidnappers were killed in while the abducted person was rescued safely.
It is worth mentioning that the abductors had demanded Rs. 50 million for his release.
Police said that the culprits killed in the firing were wanted in several criminal cases including kidnapping for ransom and murders.
