Islamabad gunman Muhammad Sikandar’s wife Kanwal had her bail application approved on Tuesday. Her bail was set at Rs. 200,000 in surety bonds.
Kanwal has been in Adiala Jail since August 31, after the police arrested her for being an accomplice to her husband.
She had filed a bail application at the Islamabad High Court.
On August 15, accompanied by his wife and children, Sikandar brought Islamabad to a standstill by waving two semi-automatic guns and occasionally firing into the air on Jinnah Avenue.
Despite being surrounded by police personnel, Rangers and Anti-Terrorism Squad, Sikandar continued the hold-up for over five hours, at the end of which both he and his wife were arrested.
