Outlaws on the run as four shot dead, 57 netted

Police on Monday claimed to have arrested 57 suspects during the latest operations in different areas of the city during the past 24 hours. Clashes with police forces in Bilal Colony resulted in two suspects being shot and killed, while three of their accomplices made good their escape. According to the police, the suspects were involved in various robberies.

In Gulshan-e-Iqbal, another robber was killed by when police retaliated against criminal elements in the area.

Meanwhile, East and West Zone Police claimed to have arrested 57 suspects in the past 24 hours along with confiscating a large amount of weapons from those arrested.

Moreover, Rangers also claimed to have arrested 22 suspects during various operations conducted in Yousuf Goth, Bilal Colony, Airport, Haroonabad, Site, Manghopir, New Karachi, RabiaCity, Ranchore Line, and other areas of the city.

Forces confiscated LMG’s, G3 rifles, SMGs, hand grenades and various other weapons from the arrested suspects. The suspects were said to have been involved in crimes of heinous nature.

In other related news, two people were seriously injured from firing near Baldia Chandni Chowk. Firing inside a seminary at Manghopir’s Din Mohammad Goth area killed the school’s religious teacher and wounded the administrator.

Karachi, the largest metropolitan city of Pakistan, has been plagued by assassinations, gang wars, kidnappings for ransom, extortion and terrorism. Targeted operations are ongoing in Karachi under a directive issued by the federal government led by the Rangers’ with the support of police against criminals already identified by federal military and civilian agencies.
