Authorities have heightened security at the Central Jail in light of terror threats.
A private news channel quoting government sources reported that threats of a possible terror attack prior to Eid had been received which had led authorities to increasing the number of check posts around the jail.
Two dozen check posts have been established and policemen patrolling the jail are heavily armed, while those deployed at night have been provided night vision goggles.
At least 50 additional CCTV cameras have also been installed at the aforementioned penitentiary.
