Kashmir issue be resolved per UN resolutions: Barjees

Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Chaudhry Mohammad Barjees Tahir has said the Pakistan’s ideology and Kashmir issues are interconnected and an all out effort will be made for the freedom of Held Kashmir.

Addressing a “right of self-determination conference” at Nizria-i-Pakistan Trust here on Saturday, the minister said the Kashmiris had great love for Pakistan in their hearts like the people of Pakistan.

He said Kashmir was the land of martyrs as it was facing problems with great courage and determination.

Barjees Tahir said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had asked him to visit the Line of Control and give a message to the people of Kashmir that they were not alone as the people of Pakistan were with them.

The minister said the PML-N government believed in the system and wanted the government in Kashmir to work purely on merit and remove all problems in the system.

Barjees Tahir said: “We want to resolve the Kashmir issue according to resolutions of the United Nations and will continue the freedom struggle till its success.” Naseeb Ullah Gardazi said Nazria-i-Pakistan was doing an excellent job. Farooq Azad Khan, Yousaf Naseem and Sulatn Ahmad Ali also spoke.
