National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has started issuing duplicate Computerized National Identity Cards (CNIC) to those earthquake affectees ‚ who lost their original cards within the recent disaster in the Awaran district of Balochistan.
The massive earthquake of 7.7 magnitudes had completely destroyed the NADRA workplace in Tehsil Mashkay whereas the office in Awaran was also severely broken.
The provision of identity cards will facilitate the lives of earthquake affected folks in the rehabilitation process.
NADRA’s registration centers within the section are directed to make special arrangements for issuing national identity cards (CNICs) on war-footing to expand and reinforce the federal and provincial governments’ relief activities in a transparent and efficient manner.
The quake-hit affected citizens don’t need to bring any document for new ID cards; they simply got to approach NADRA Registration Center in Awaran or on spot NADRA Mobile Registration Vans and man-pack units to apply for CNICs.
