In the wake of the current law and order situation, the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has announced its plans to assemble an all-parties conference in Peshawar on Friday. Last month, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf, the party that leads the coalition government in KPK, had announced that it plans to call together a similar meeting. However the PTI is yet to put its plans into action.

The conference will focus on discussing viable solutions for the current law and order situation.
PTI had issued an official statement on September 13 which stated that the provincial government was ready for an APC in light of the resolutions made at the APC held at the federal level. The deteriorating security conditions were to be the focal point of the APC called together by PTI.

JUI-F party member Jalil Jan said, “the KPK government has failed on the issue of law and order and the government seems to lack a proper strategy to respond to terrorist attacks.”

Another, JI spokesperson Israrullah said that all the political parties agreed to attend the APC called together by the JI. He said the APC would deliver a message to the terrorists, reiterating that people are united against them.
