Pakistan and Britain have agreed to enhance cooperation on fight against terrorism, commerce and economy and decided to take the trade volume to 3 billion pounds sterling by 2015.
Prime Minister’s Adviser on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz and UK Minister for Interfaith Harmony Saeeda Warsi said this at a joint press conference on Thursday at the Foreign Office.
Saeeda Warsi said the talks with the Taliban were the internal matter of Pakistan. The people gave the mandate to the government and it has to decide about it.
She said the relations between the two governments were strong. She said both countries have agreed to speed up in the strategic reactions and improve mutual trade. To a question, she said that the UK had a stance that Pakistan and India should resolve the Kashmir issue according to the aspirations of the Kashmiris.
She said the terrorists do not want to leave any hope for the future generation, as economy would be greatest challenge for them and at present foreign investors were not willing to invest in Pakistan.
