During Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s visit to New York, terrorists carried out several attacks in Pakistan in which involvement of foreign hand cannot be ruled out, the Foreign Office (FO) said on Thursday.
Addressing the weekly press briefing‚ FO spokesman Aizaz Chaudhry said Pakistan was a victim of terrorism and “we have every incentive to work with everyone to get rid of this menace”.
“We are facing multiple challenges and whatever we are doing we are doing not just for Pakistan but for the entire world,” Chaudhry said, adding that the matter of involvement of foreign hand in the recent wave of terrorism needed to be investigated.
The FO termed the prime minister’s visit to New York very successful, adding that during his visit to the US, Nawaz apprised the international community of Pakistan’s priorities, and highlighted the Kashmir issue.
To a question, Chaudhry said India and Pakistan would soon establish contacts to deescalate the tension on the Lion of Control.
About Indian involvement in Balochistan‚ he said whenever Pakistan and India would talk on composite dialogue‚ Pakistan would raise the issue.
The FO spokesman said Pakistan had not changed its stance on the Kashmir dispute which should be resolved in accordance with the United Nations resolutions.
“Kashmir is a disputed territory and Pakistan believes that the issue should be resolved according to the aspirations of people of Kashmir and the UN resolutions.”
The FO spokesman told reporters that Nawaz would meet US President Barack Obama on October 23 during his visit to Washington.
Regarding talks with the Taliban, Chaudhry said this was Pakistan’s internal matter.
About drone strikes, the FO spokesman said drones strikes were against Pakistan’s sovereignty‚ as well as the international law. “Drones fan terrorism and Pakistan has shown always resistance against them.”
Pakistan should not show its weakness to the outside world, by saying we are victims.
Instead, become internally strong, by introducing NAB, which totally empowered, above executive, & independent.
It would manifest in the form strong investment, expanded tax base, & free Pakistan of the need to print money & borrow from IMF to pay the bills.
IT would earn respect & put fear of Pakistan in the hearts of, who ever is intruding airspace & land space through the pay rolled force.
Nobody can dare to push you, if you know how to stand on your own two feet. Look at the example of countries around us.
get some spine, make these "foreign hands" known to public and to whole world! If India and other world can start naming Pakistan as soon as first bullet fired anywhere, why cant Pakistan only resort to diplomatic channels and dont name and shame these so called countries. Take Pakistanis and world in confidence if these are India, Afghanistan, KSA, UAE or USA!
Do it. Name the countries, if any. What credibility you have ? Pakistan and terrorism are two sides of the same coin. The world matches words with ground realities. The terrorists you prepared for India and Afghanistan are imploding in your own backyard. Why would Osama find Pakistan as safe heaven ???
Indians aren't angels either pal,get that through your thick skul, sick of Indians playing the victim role.
The hands are '' Made In Pakistan'' but the gloves which we are wearing are manufactured and supplied by the owner and brothers of Petroleum Companies.
Sending terrorists to Pakistan is like sending proverbial coal to New Castle or in our desi term, ulte baans bareli ko.Pakistan has enough manpower & expertise in Terrorism & is its main export.Still if NS feels it is so ,he should name country with proof that he has.
Going, going, going, gowing…. .,
Pakis are going down everyday, wheels are coming off all over. Just to give themselves a sense of stability, they like to talk about “dispute” with India 🙂
