The government has increased the power tariff by a maximum of 40 percent which will break the proverbial camel’s back. All this is because of the government’s policy of generating thermal power from imported costly fuel and not exploiting the cheap hydel power at a cost of 1.5 rupees per unit. The political leaders are stubbornly opposing the Kalabagh dam which would have assured us cheap power and abundant irrigation water. The politicians are following criminally wrong policies that are driving the nation to hellish conditions.
Was Pakistan created to place our destiny in the cruel hands of grossly incompetent leaders who are least concerned with people’s woes, while they themselves are living in ivory towers divorced from the masses? They are rushing headlong to destruction. The rulers are oblivious of the hardships of masses struggling to have two square meals in a day, what to say of health and education for their children.

The prices have lowered in the international market of oil but our government insists that the orice hike has been necessitated due to rise in the international Market. By this increase the government has broken the back of the camel, and it is in pain. It should rather shoot it once and be done away with.
This slow and continuous torture has taken the worse form . These rulers need a jolt from the heaven , to make them realize the pain of the people.
