5 people killed in separate acts of violence in Karachi

At least five people, including a woman, were killed in a spate of violence in different areas of Karachi on Wednesday. According to the police, a dead body of a 60-year-old man, identified as Anwar, was found near W-11 Bus stop in New Karachi. The victim was a retired sound engineer of a state-run television channel.

Another tortured dead body was found near Mewa Shah Graveyard.

In Hussain De Silva Town of North Nazimabad, two tortured bodies of a man and woman were found in a house. The victims were identified as 36-year-old Saira and 35-year-old Ahmed Jamal. The police said that the incident might be a result of personal enmity.

Two others were also injured in a firing incident in Machhar Colony.

On a pleasant note, Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was successful in defusing a bomb from Ali Garh Colony of the city.
